Yes ! Yes ! Yes! This is actually a chain, the original being in London and they have do it right. We visited the York location in England and it did not disappoint. We didn't have reservations and the staff accommodated us with grace. You have a choice of a la cartor prefixed, we went with a la cart and enjoyed every choice. The cocktail were the usual and the unique, all tasty. I had steak tartare, duck curry with a tasty but name forgotten cocktail but they were all superb!!!

My friend and I showed up impromptu after road tripping from Edinburgh to York and having no dinner plans at 9pm. They were fully booked for tables so we opted to eat at the bar. Usually you expect pretty good service when eating at the bar of a restaurant because your right in eyesight of the bartenders, but getting their attention took too long and was awkward. However, the food, drinks, and dessert were absolutely AMAZING. My friend and I have been in the UK (mostly London and Edinburgh so far) for almost a week and this was the best meal we've had by far. We ordered the Pink G&T's, which were yummy. For food, we got the sourdough bread, the crispy duck salad, the crab and apple salad, and the lobster and samphire risotto - ALL of it was phenomenal and even better was the chocolate bomb dessert. Service: 3 stars Food and Bev: 5 stars+++ Decor/Ambiance: 5 stars (wish we'd been able to see more sitting at a table)
Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful spot. Large open high ceiling restaurant decorated with a bright colorful palette and comfy colorful velvet chairs. Service was friendly, prompt and efficient. Food was delicious and fresh. Large breakfast menu with vegetarian and healthy options. We stopped for breakfast with 4 in our party and ordered a folded ham omelette, avocado, tomato and poached egg toast with sesame dressing and fresh fruit pancakes....all were excellent. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!
